Our mission is to engage with Police and local agencies to help them gain a better understanding of victims, to meet the needs of South Asian Communities by providing training and raising awareness on hidden abuse, and by supporting them in a safe and empowering way.
Why the community needs us
To help them understand hidden crimes such as Honour Based Violence, Forced Marriage, and Female Genital Mutilation. To educate them to recognise the signs of abuse and support each other.
Our impact on the community
Awareness - To deliver training and raise awareness to local authorities on Honour Based Violence (HBV) and Forced Marriage (FM). Training - To deliver training to professionals by sharing first-hand experiences and real-life trauma of HBV and FM. Education - To educate women, to help them to understand 'Abuse'. Communities - Breaking barriers, and engaging with communities to offer advice, support, and information to them to seek help.
Victims - To support the vulnerable to come forward to seek help and report their concerns. Help reduce fear and isolation and to empower victims to rebuild their lives and have a better future.
