Frame Of Mind offer a unique new service for local adults with dementia. We offer one to one support in our workshop taking part in meaningful projects involving picture framing, photo restoration, ceramics and horticulture. Last year the project won the National Dementia Care Award for the Best New Product or Innovation. One of the judges commented:"Frame of Mind sets a new standard for the creative engagement of people with and without dementia as partners in living life to to the full"

Why they need our service

There are 472 people living with dementia in the area surrounding Frame Of Mind many of whom could benefit from the one to one vocational wellbeing service that we offer. There is nobody in the local area providing any service like this (in fact we do not know of anybody nationally who is providing such a service). Our initial results have been extremely promising and we need your help to expand the service to see if we can replicate the results over a wider range of people.

Plan and expected results

All the people who have accessed the service so far have shown a marked improvement in their well being. Janice Gadd, whose father, Ron Davies uses the service, said: "Attending Frame of Mind has given my father back a purpose for living. "Not only does he benefit from the positive attitude and care of the staff and volunteers, but he has something concrete which he is proud to show to friends."We can't thank them enough."Ron said. "I come here once a week and for me it is not enough"
