Friends! We need your help. Bristol Refugee Rights (BRR) is an amazing organisation supporting refugees and asylum-seeking people in Bristol in many different ways: they offer emotional support, English classes, practical advice, once a week a hot meal and always a chance to talk. Many of those they support have fled terrible trauma in their home countries and are some of the most vulnerable people in the city. BRR run an Early Years Project - a crèche, for parents who are seeking asylum or trying to rebuild their life in the city. The Project offers a wonderful space for children - 111 different children used the Project last year while their parents went to free English lessons, had appointments with the advocacy and information team or volunteered at one of the projects. Unfortunately the grant funding for the Project ran out in March and until now they haven’t been able to secure another grant. And this is where our help comes in! A group of friends - Mary, Sonya, Sophia, Polly, Jill, Freya, Claire, Meriel, Kate, Melanie and Lisa are going to walk! The Three Peaks Circular Trail - 16.5 miles of fields and hills and fields and hills, starting and finishing in Chew Magna. We're walking on Sunday 6th Nov and we would really appreciate your sponsorship. I know many people wonder what they can do to help, faced with the desperate stories on the news. This is one way. Please spread the word and sponsor us! Many of us have links to the Project and know people involved and are very keen to support the Project. and finally...
