I am walking 100 kilometres of the Camino de Santiago from Vigo to Santiago in May 2023. Im hoping that every kilometer I cover will raise at least £20 to support the amazing work of Hornsey Food Bank.
The Food Bank is an independent community enterprise, run by an amazing team of volunteers which provides emergency food and support to our community and campaigns for change to end the need for food banks in the UK. It currently offers food support to over 1200 people every single week!
The food bank grew out of the mutual aid groups that were set up to help neighbours during the pandemic. It remains an independent, community-based and community-led project and works on the principle that we all need help at some stage in our lives, and we are here – as neighbours helping neighbours – to offer that support.
