Hello All!
Since moving to Weston with my husband to lead Holy Trinity Weston and Weston Church Youth Project I have had the privilege of working and supporting a number of amazing families in Weston.
WCYP exists to enable, equip and encourage the young people of Weston and their families to LIVE LIFE TO THE FULL. Our activities provide young people with fun, safe places to spend their time, gain new skills, broaden their horizons, get support advice and encouragement and learn about the Christian Faith. My work involves supporting parents. This includes parenting skills, coffee mornings, debt management, Child protection and general advocacy.
In May Benedict, my son and I along with our project manager Libbi and 4 youth workers and my husband are taking on the NATIONAL THREE PEAKS CHALLENGE (climbing the 3 highest peaks in England, Scotland and Wales-Scarfell Pike, Ben Nevis and Snowden- in 24 hours). We are pretty excited about attempting it, but need the encouragement and support to keep going ……
We would be very grateful if you could support me and Ben in this. My aim is to raise £1000 and Ben to raise £500. We aim as a group to raise £5000 in total.
The money raised would be split between our Achieve school based work - helping to address attendance, parenting and behaviour issues to improve engagement with education- and our Faith based work - groups and events providing the opportunity to explore the Christian Faith in an accessible way.
Thank you in advance for your support - it's really needed and will make a big difference to the lives of the children and young people of Weston.
