The Wild Cat Wilderness is a community green space and food-growing garden with an outdoor kitchen coordinated by Lewisham Local in Catford, Lewisham. Since September 2014, volunteers have transformed a neglected, overgrown, rubbish-strewn space into a thriving community space for volunteering, events and activities, forest schools and social and therapeutic horticulture projects. Everything is centred on connecting people with nature; improving their wellbeing and helping people discover and learn about the environment.

The Wild Cat Wilderness is a unique, safe (but wild) oasis which allows the local community to enjoy and work with nature, grow and cook fresh local food - it really is a piece of the countryside in the heart of Catford. Its a space the community have shaped, a place for children to safely run around, get dirty and learn, a meeting point for families, for neighbours, to make friends and feel part of a community and learn new skills.
