Hi I'm Wilson the Beagle aka "Bungers". On 3 May I walked lots of miles (12 whole ones)for Dudley Mind on the Dudley Trail cos it's really important I work hard for my biscuits.
Anyway, as my Mum Julia may have told you, one in four of us will experience a mental health problem at some point in our lives, whoever we are and whatever our background. She says its really important that ordinary people and dogs like me all pull together and help each other because although it's more than likely we are all touched by mental health problems its really difficult to understand and get proper treatment and support we need without organisations like Mind.
Mum has been supporting Mind for a very long time and I'm here now to help too. One day I want to become a PAT dog - that's a Pets As Therapy dog. I know it takes quite a long time, lots of walking, lots of trying to be quiet (which is very very hard work) and lots of being cute which is not very hard work for me at all. But on my last appraisal she said 'I've got a long way to go' so I've got to start somewhere.... here goes!
"We won't give up until everyone experiencing a mental health problem gets the support and respect they need and deserve."
