Team Fundraisers
In the last few months, Home-Start Wokingham has been really struggling to find the funding it needs to continue to provide its unique and life changing home visiting service to vulnerable and disadvantaged families in and around Wokingham. Sadly, the charity has come very close to having to close, meaning over 100 families a year would have to miss out on our emotional and practical support that will help them get through a particularly tough time in their lives. In order to ensure our service can continue, we need to raise £25,000 this year. Fundraising during a cost of living crisis is hard! Which is why we are thrilled to have this opportunity to take part in this fantastic community event, bringing walkers together to raise vital funds for the many wonderful charities in and around Wokingham. The event is always brilliantly organised by the Lions so that people of all ages and levels of fitness can take part - choosing to walk either 5, 10 or 15 miles. We are really looking forward to joining in this fun, family friendly event and raising vital funds for Home-Start.
