Imara is an early-intervention specialist service that supports children, young people and their families across Nottinghamshire following child sexual abuse. 1 in 20 children in the UK have experienced sexual abuse, with some estimates as high as 1 in 4. Your donation can help Imara continue to provide support to survivors and families in so many different ways:

• £110 can provide specialist wellness packs to 5 children at home to help them manage their acute trauma symptoms
• £450 can provide a training course for professionals to improve their response to child sexual abuse
• £680 can keep our doors open to families for a week
• £1065 can cover transport to and from therapy sessions for a young survivor for a full yearThroughout lockdown Imara has continued to provide therapy sessions and support to children and their families remotely online, providing art and wellness materials to them at home when they have been unable to access support in person. We know from NSPCC and Childline data that the incidence of child sexual abuse within the family and home has likely increased since COVID, and we want to be here for every child and family that needs us.
