Tia is donating around 11 inches of her hair to Little Princess Trust.
Little Princess Trust provide real-hair wigs, free of charge, to boys and girls across the UK and Ireland that have lost their own hair through cancer treatment.
"We have an arrangement, through one of their wig suppliers, with a wig-making factory to make use of donated hair sent to the Trust.
Any hair deemed acceptable is sent to the factory in China by our contact in the UK. From these donations, a large number of wigs are manufactured and given to the charity free of charge. These wigs, made in particularly small sizes, can normally cost up to £2,000 each. In addition to these free wigs, the charity has to purchase further wigs in order to keep up with demand. "
Tia heard of this charity and immediately decided she wanted to donate her hair and raise enough for her hair to be sent.
Tia was also very keen to help another local charity, Kernos Centre, after raising £50 last year by selling her toys with brother Cameron.
Tia Said she wanted the money she raises to go to Kernos centre so they can keep on helping people that need it.
As Tia's mum I am tremendously proud of her kind hearted attitude towards helping others. She loves her hair but when she saw that some children become poorly and lose their hair she just had to help, telling me that her hair will grow again and then she can do this all over again!!
