Now closed for applications : Community Matters Fund (Low Carbon Communities)

This Summer, National Grid’s Electricity Distribution business, in partnership with Localgiving, will be delivering grants to charitable organisations supporting communities and hubs working hard to improve their resilience in the energy transition.

Who is our Anjool Maldé Young Social Entrepreneur of the Year 2025 award winner ?

"This recognition is not just for me, but for our whole team at Conversation Over Borders and the refugee communities we work alongside. At a time when displaced people in the UK face growing hostility, it means so much to see a vision of solidarity, care, and community-led change being celebrated."

Community Matters Fund (Fuel Poverty 2024) is now closed for applications

This winter, National Grid Electricity Distribution has again teamed up with Localgiving to deliver grants to charitable organisations tackling fuel poverty in their communities. With the twin challenge of the price of energy and the cost of living still present for many across the country, support is as important as ever and this £500,000 fund is now available to help.

"Localgiving has completely changed the way we fundraise..."

Localgiving thanks our partners for their support in helping Welsh groups raise £3m+ and the building of a powerful legacy. Find out more about what this remarkable programme has delivered since 2017 for communities across the country.
