London's Community Kitchen
Other

London’s Community Kitchen (LCK) Zero Waste, Zero Hunger, receives rescued food from local supermarkets e.g. Morrison’s, The Felix Project retailers, business and individuals that would otherwise be wasted. LCK has been working with its partners in Harrow, and other neighbouring boroughs to receive and redistribute food supplies to the community without stigmatising the beneficiaries. The work of LCK has escalated exponentially due to the pandemic and it now finds itself not only delivering food in the borough but supporting food insecure residents and their families. LCK is working on a sustainable model to serve the community, not just by feeding but by providing education so that those trapped in food poverty can access a life where they can come out of food deprivation.
