Every child deserves the best start in life, with the essentials they need to thrive. The simple things many of us take for granted — but for too many families across our borough, these things feel out of reach. Impossible choices are an everyday reality; put food on the table or buy nappies, heat their home or buy school uniform, pay the rent or give their child a bed of their own.

Bromley Brighter Beginnings is a primarily volunteer-led community charity that aims to relieve the pressure of poverty in a practical way by providing baby and child essentials - clothing, cots, buggies, toys, books, newborn packs, school uniforms, beds, Christmas hampers and more - to families living in financial hardship in the London Borough of Bromley.

Most of our items are donated pre-loved by generous local parents. The families we support, many of whom are fleeing domestic violence or facing sudden crisis, are referred to us by health professionals, social workers and local agencies across Bromley.
