OUR STORY
Founded in 2017, Caring and Sharing Rochdale supports over 200 people every week across Rochdale and Greater Manchester. We believe everyone deserves to feel welcomed, valued and supported, no matter where they come from.
We saw refugees arriving with nothing, elderly residents eating alone, women with no safe space, and families who could not speak English. We decided to do something about it. Today we show up every week with food, friendship, training and hope.
WHAT WE DO
Every Monday our free food bank serves homeless people, refugees, asylum seekers and low-income families. No one should go hungry in Rochdale.
Every Tuesday our Carers Workshop and VIP 50+ Programme brings together carers and residents aged 50 and over to connect, learn and enjoy activities together.
Every Wednesday our Women's Befriending Programme offers a safe space where women support each other and access counselling from experienced counsellors. Here women thrive.
Every Thursday our ESOL Programme provides free English classes for non-English speakers, opening doors to jobs, healthcare and independence.
We also run ICT and skills workshops to build confidence and help people find work.
WHO WE HELP
Since 2017 we have supported refugees, asylum seekers, homeless individuals, low-income families, women fleeing domestic violence, survivors of modern slavery, elderly residents, carers, non-English speakers and young people across Rochdale and Greater Manchester.
OUR GOAL
By 2030 we aim to support over 5,000 individuals, expanding our ESOL Programme, Women's Befriending Programme, Carers Workshop, VIP 50+ Programme and food bank.
PLEASE DONATE
Behind every statistic is a real person. A father who ate this week. A woman who felt safe enough to speak. A grandmother who is no longer lonely. Your donation makes this possible.
Please donate today and help us build a Rochdale where no one is left behind.
