CAWH is a community led local Charity set up to improve the quality of life of everyone living and working in the West Hampstead area.
We run the West Hampstead Community Centre in Dornfell Street NW6, where we offer a wide range of social and leisure activities for the whole community. From summer workshops including art, sports or dance, to coffee mornings, come and join us to have fun, learn new skills and make new friends.
Why the community needs us
CAWH benefits all members!
All are welcome to participate in up to 40 differerent activities held at the West Hampstead Community Centre and other local venues. Come and try Zumba, Yoga, Pilates, Art or an afterschool club for younger members. Small charges may apply to some activities. You can also Hire the lovely hall here in Dornfell Street.
Our impact on the community
We recently created a GALA evening of local talent, including singing, dancing, poetry and cabaret.
All the local artists gave their time to the Community Centre for free, and the fundraising evening was a huge success. It clearly defined how much a group meeting together to support each other is vitally important, especially nowadays. Everyone thought the evening was fantastic.
Several children participated, as well as more seasoned adults. It was a multi everything event.
