Harborough District | Health & Wellbeing
HCYC supports youth in Harborough with free spaces, mentoring, and activities.
Since 2012, Harborough District Children and Young People’s Charity (HCYC) has been supporting children and young people across Harborough District to thrive. We provide free, safe and welcoming spaces where young people can build confidence, improve their wellbeing, develop life skills, and create positive relationships with trusted adults.
--
Our projects include a young carers group, play sessions, mentoring, outreach work, sessions using our mobile Chill Out Bus, and trips. We focus on empowering young people to improve their lives positively, and to shape our services and the communities around them. We reach out to those facing isolation, poor mental health, financial hardship, or limited access to opportunities, particularly in rural communities.
--
During 2024–25, HCYC delivered 384 youth sessions and supported 486 children and young people, helping them feel safer, more connected, and better equipped for the future.
--
Every donation helps us keep our services free and accessible to the young people who need them most. Your support enables us to provide trained youth workers, safe spaces, positive activities, and early intervention that can change lives and address emerging mental health issues before they escalate.
--
Together, we can ensure more children and young people have the opportunity to grow in confidence, fulfil their potential, and make a positive contribution to their communities.
--
By donating to HCYC, you are investing in brighter futures for local young people and stronger communities for everyone.
