Imara presents another exciting outdoor challenge organised by Scott Browett. Across 10 hours on the 30th June, Myself, Scott and our team of Imara staff and volunteers will challenge ourselves to a 22 mile hike in the stunning Lake District. Starting in the village of Glenridding, our team will ascent over 2,400 metres covering Wainright's Eastern Fells - including the Three Dodds and the infamous Helvellyn (950m)! If you fancy the challenge yourself and wish to join our team, please join the Friends of Imara Facebook group for more information on how to get involved! Come on, get your arses off the sofa and out there to kick this shit in the face! Why the hell are we doing this? We are are doing all of this to raise money for Imara, a local Nottingham-based charity that supports children, teenagers, and their families after a disclosure of sexual abuse. We empower people to recover from the trauma of abuse, and offer Therapy, legal and advocacy support. We rely on funding for our work and plan to keep it going by endlessly fundraising. Dig deep and give us some cash!!
