Our group is apolitical, non-religious and multi-cultural - its primary focus is to create and maintain a caring and diverse community, to reduce the opportunities for crime and anti- social behaviour by improved crime prevention techniques and public awareness.
Why the community needs usOur prime objectives are to help people in the community to protect themselves and their property, to reduce the fear of crime by means of improved home security, greater vigilance, fast communication in the reporting of incidents or suspicious occurrences, and by fostering a revival of community spirit in our town
Our impact on the communityCurrently our recruitment figures show an annual increase in membership of 36% within the community, Sussex Police acknowledge that our group have assisted in reducing crime in all of the town's 5 wards by our proactive approach to reduce crime and anti social behaviour in the local community. A recently promoted local drink drive campaign reduced the arrest/conviction rate year on year by 75% over a 1 year period - also publicly acknowledged by Sussex Police
