People coming to Manchester to seek sanctuary are welcomed and treated with dignity and respect
Our mission is to help and support refugees and asylum seekers who've fled conflict and persecution. We get them the basic support they need to live again with dignity and respect. Then we help them build safe, happy and productive lives in Manchester.
Why the community needs usMRSN is a lively, thriving organisation providing support to over 60 refugees each week from our friendly drop in Centre based in Moss Side. Our services are tailored to the needs of refugees, We understand the specific difficulties they face, which include language barriers, cultural issues, and lack of familiarity with British systems. Because of our experience in this field we also understand the interaction between immigration status and welfare and and housing entitlements.
Our impact on the communityMRSN played a great role in the past 20 years in helping refugees and asylum seekers to build safe, hopeful and productive new lives in Manchester.
Volunteers are the heart of everything that we do and enabling MRSN to undertake all aspects of its work. We particularly welcome refugees and asylum seekers who wish to volunteer at MRSN. All volunteers receive induction training and ongoing support
