Our vision is of a welcoming, inclusive, safe Scotland for refugees and asylum seekers.
For over 28 years, Refugee Sanctuary Scotland has worked to alleviate destitution among refugees and asylum seekers in Scotland by providing practical support when it is most needed - including a safe place to stay; emergency financial support; bus fares to tackle transport poverty; and help to access legal services, education, health and wellbeing support, and social services. We have also worked to build connections between people and use what we learn to raise public awareness and campaign for change.
Our vision is of a welcoming, inclusive, safe Scotland for refugees and asylum seekers, where all live free of destitution and have the means and opportunities to realise their full potential.
We aim to meet the many challenges and uncertainties of people seeking protection in Scotland, in line with our values of Dignity, Collaboration, Impact and Compassion.
We support people to move away from destitution by providing:
safe temporary homes
emergency financial support
tackle travel poverty
help to access legal services,
and health and wellbeing support.
With your support we can make a better, fairer life for people seeking safety in Scotland.
