Established in 1893 we are Liverpool's oldest independent charity. We serve the people of Liverpool by providing a wide and diverse range of activities and events, user groups and services all aimed at taking care of our people.

Why the community needs us

Many of the services we provide for our local community were once provided by the state (although we have always ran our services to any who needed us) but now, more than ever, we are needed to offer care and support, supply services, offer entertainment and companionship to name but a few.

Our impact on the community

Our range of services spans the entire age range within our community. Our seniors clubs provides hot, freshly cooked food daily to the elderly whilst helping break isolation and loneliness. Our youngsters enjoy being part of our boxing club, the famous 'Lee Jones ABC' where we take children out of a street environment and offer them direction, discipline, exercise, fitness and personal wellbeing.
