We are both excited (and nervous!) to be running Swansea Half Marathon on 9 June 2024 in aid of Faith in Families.
Faith in Families is an amazing charity located in Swansea, who support children and families living in poverty and facing the cost of living crisis. There are more than 24,000 or 18% of children in Swansea living in poverty, which is a staggering statistic.
Faith in Families have set up three community cwtch's which provide accessible opportunities for children, young people and their families to change their lives. They work closely with primary schools to offer groups and projects within the community. One of their Cwtch's delivers childcare, adult learning services and community sessions.
One of their more recent projects Cwtch Mawr or Big Hug, is a new charity initiative and Wales' first Multibank. Cwtch Mawr is a community donations hub offering surplus essentials to families in need across Swansea. The project began in 2023 and has already supported more than 7,000 families in Swansea!
The work this charity undertakes is so inspiring and we are privileged to be supporting such a worthy cause. Any donations will really help the charity continue to support the families in need.
