
On Saturday 13th September Beth, Billie, Eloise, Claire, Jodie and Darcey are taking part in the Big Avon Paddle to help raise funds for Keynsham and District Mencap.
Keynsham & District Mencap work to improve the lives and opportunities of children and adults with a wide range of learning disabilities.
They welcome members from BANES, Bristol and South Gloucestershire as well as some further afield and have a membership of over 150.
Members ages range from 5 – 18 years for junior clubs, and they run adult clubs for 18 years and over. The members have a broad range of needs and disabilities, including learning and physical disabilities, Autism, Down’s Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy and Attention Deficit Disorder.
Keynsham & District Mencap Society is a registered charity; and they rely entirely on grants, donations and fundraising as they receive no statutory funding. Keynsham & District Mencap Society is affiliated to, but not funded by National Mencap.
