'Calm Cuffs' are used at New Leaf Learning to support children to relax. Often children find it very difficult to allow their bodies to relax especially if they have conditions such as ADHC (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Condition), anxiety or have experienced previous trauma. 'Calm Cuffs' are ingenious! They allow children to fiddle with objects that have been knitted in, whilst their bodies seem completely still on the outside, and therefore not distracting anyone else!
