Support Chris as He Walks for The Light Group
I'm taking on a 16–17 mile walk from Sowerby Bridge to Dewsbury to raise funds for The Light Group, a Christian charity that supports people experiencing homelessness, addiction and hardship.
This challenge is deeply personal to me because every week I see the realities that many people face. I meet people who feel alone, have nowhere to turn, or are battling addiction and homelessness. Through outreach, drop-ins and ongoing support, we help people access emergency accommodation, supported housing, rehabilitation services, local churches and other supportive communities. We walk alongside people, offering practical help, encouragement and hope as they begin rebuilding their lives.
The money raised from this walk will help us continue reaching those who need us most. It will support our outreach work, provide practical resources, and enable us to keep helping people take positive steps towards recovery, stability and a brighter future.
I have seen lives transformed through compassion, consistency and simply being there for someone when they need it most. Sometimes a conversation, a meal, a referral or a supportive community can become the turning point in someone's life.
If you are able to support me, I would be incredibly grateful. Every donation, no matter the size, will help The Light Group continue bringing hope, practical support and lasting change to people facing some of life's toughest challenges.
Thank you for supporting this challenge and believing in the work we do. Together, we can help ensure that more people know they are seen, valued and never forgotten.
