๐โโ๏ธ From 1K to 42K: My Journey Continues โ Reigate Run 2025
๐ Sunday 21st September โ Reigate Priory Park
๐ Running for The Stripey Stork Charity
๐ Proudly supporting the British Dyslexia Association (BDA)
Taking on the London Marathon changed my life. What started as a personal challenge quickly became a transformative journey โ physically, mentally, and emotionally.
Through months of training, I lost over 3 stone and 10 lbs, and watched my limits expand from 1K runs to full 21K sessions. I used a mix of Slimming World, Weight Watchers, and relentless determination to get here โ overcoming setbacks, yo-yo dieting, and even injury just 12 days before the big day.
But I didnโt give up. I got back up. I ran 7.5K in the gym and crossed that marathon finish line with pride.
Now, Iโm lacing up again โ this time for the Reigate Run on 21st September, running for The Stripey Stork Charity, which supports families in crisis with essential supplies and heartfelt care. I want to repeat the impact we made last year โ together.
Alongside that, I continue to support the BDA, a cause close to my heart. Working in a specialist dyslexia school, Iโve seen firsthand the daily struggles many students face. The BDA empowers them โ and their teachers โ with tools, training, and hope.
This run is more than miles. Itโs about community, second chances, and belief โ in others, and in ourselves.
