On the 1st of July, we sadly lost Shanika Mahendran, after a short illness.

Shanika was a dedicated local councillor, who was a true champion for Milton Keynes, the city she grew up in and loved. She was an advocate for her community, a force of change and a friend to many.

Throughout her life and her work as a councillor, Shanika was fiercely committed to helping those in need.

At Shanika's request, rather than sending flowers, we are raising funds in her memory for MK Food Bank. Every single pound donated in Shanika's memory will go directly toward providing essential food supplies to local families and individuals.
