Team Fundraisers
My Wonderful Mam Linda Cushing lost her battle to cancer on 24th March 2020. As a committee member of the Friends of the New Breast Care Unit Ystrad Mynach, Mam has raised 4k+. I would love to continue her amazing work and get the total to 10k.
Mam was passionate about the funding being
used to improve the environment at the new unit. The fundraiser incorporates all that Mam loved and supported.
1. #10milesin10days, Walk/Run/Cycle with Rhymney Valley Athletics Club, Mam was secretary and official time keeper for the club.
2. Mothers Day/Thinking of you take out boxes of Afternoon Tea and Cupcakes for that special someone.
3. Online 2 hour Zumbathon
4. Virtual Music and Dance weekend. Featuring Mam's Choir and also some of Caerphilly's dance and music schools to entertain you.
5. I am also looking for businesses to donate prizes for our online raffle and of course any donations. Every little helps.
6. The Caerphilly Observer will be doing two articles, one prior to the launch of the fundraiser and one to celebrate and promote the commencement of works of the Unit.
The fundraiser is a fantastic way to remember Mam and celebrate her life and to support a local cause that everyone can relate to someone who has lost their battle or continues to battle Cancer. #togetherwecanbeatcancer
