On Saturday 22 August 2026, I’ll be walking 39.2km (24.5 miles) across the stunning Yorkshire countryside, climbing Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough—all in one day! It’s a tough challenge, but I’m doing it as part of Carers Leeds’ 30th anniversary to raise vital funds for unpaid carers in our city.
Carers play an incredible role, often supporting loved ones without recognition, guidance or enough support. While caring can be rewarding, it can also be exhausting, isolating and have a real impact on health, wellbeing and finances. That’s where Carers Leeds comes in.
For 30 years, they’ve been there for unpaid carers—providing support lines, one-to-one help, groups, and services across Leeds, including in hospitals. They make sure carers aren’t facing things alone.
Every donation really does make a difference:
£10 could help a carer take a break and enjoy a cuppa and chat with a befriender
£30 could help someone access vital support through the helpline
£50 could support a wellbeing activity to help carers rest and recharge
If you can, please support me and help Carers Leeds continue their amazing work. Together, we can make sure unpaid carers feel valued, supported and heard.
Thank you so much
