The Parent House: Supporting Parents for 25 Years

In Islington 47% of children live in poverty. This is awful for families. Everyone wants a good start for their children. That's why The Parent House is here—helping parents help themselves. For 25 years, we’ve been a lifeline for Islington’s families, providing the support they need to thrive.

We believe when parents thrive, children thrive.

We offer:

  • Foodbank vouchers and free clothes in times of need

  • Courses and support groups to build confidence, skills, and combat isolation

  • A warm environment where families feel welcome

What parents say about us:
“They do so much more than they think they do. All the small things, the chats, the advice, the encouragement and the way they treat everyone, makes them so special.’’ Vicky

“The Parent House are like my home…they are part of my family and have helped me so much. My health and confidence are improved” Aisha

But we can’t do it without YOU.
We rely on donations to continue our essential work. This spring, we held a fundraising street walk to raise funds for our vital services. Parents, children, staff, supporters and trustees enjoyed a sunny, happy walk from The Parent House to Caledonian Park and we raised more than our target.

This walk was about more than just fundraising. It’s about:

  • Connecting with others

  • Being active and healthy

  • The diversity of our community and services

  • Giving back

  • Mindfulness along the way

Together, we can make sure that parents thrive and children have the good start they deserve.
