The foodbank provides vouchers to referrers like Citizens Advice, doctors and health visitors who can give the vouchers to people in desperate need. People in need give the vouchers to us in return for a 3 day food parcel as well as other help, advice and support to get them out of crisis.

Today in Nottingham people are going hungry through unemployment, benefit changes and delays, sickness, bereavement and domestic violence. The Foodbank provides immediate help for people in crisis.

We we expect to give out hundreds of food parcels each to individuals and families with children. This will meet their immediate need but also provides a starting point for us to work with them to overcome their difficulties in the long term.
