Around Easter this year the Staff at the University raised a staggering £5,067 for the Foodbanks to help with supply of food for so many and helped to ensure the local Foodbanks could keep on top of demand.Speaking with Hope Nottingham I understand that the Foodbanks have been able to support some of our students through the pandemic and some students have been offering support to them. As things have moved along and funding for food is now looking good for the next few month.Hope Nottingham are involved in so much more than Foodbanks and are currently working to help people with debt advice and accessing employment though their Job Clubs. They have received a grant of £42,500 to help fund this work but it is subject to them raising funds to match the grant. Any donations made through this page will contribute towards Match Funding and so your donation will effectively double in value. Any Gift Aid cannot be used toward the Match Funding but will be used by Hope Nottingham to help with the work of the Foodbanks.
The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences are working together to raise awareness and help fund raise for Christmas. This year will be more difficult for so many people, including our own key workers and students and local community. This year has been difficult for us all let's see if we can just do a little to help those who are struggling right now. Your help is greatly appreciated. Thank you. The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences Foodbank Appeal Team.
