Leon is taking on a 16–17 mile canal walk from Sowerby Bridge to Dewsbury to raise £3,000 towards the cost of his Homeless Pastor training with The Light Group.
Leon is passionate about supporting people experiencing homelessness, addiction, isolation and hardship, and he wants to develop the skills and training needed to become a Homeless Pastor and make a real difference in people’s lives.
The Light Group works across our communities, supporting people who are facing some of life’s toughest challenges. Through street outreach, community groups, 12-Step recovery groups, practical support, church partnerships and regular community activities, we build relationships with people who can often feel forgotten or have nowhere else to turn.
Our Homeless Pastors walk alongside people — offering friendship, encouragement, practical help and hope. They help people connect with emergency accommodation, supported housing, recovery and rehabilitation services, churches and other organisations that can help them rebuild their lives.
Leon wants to be part of this work.
His Homeless Pastor training costs £3,000, and he is taking on this challenging 16–17 mile walk to help raise the funds needed to complete his training.
Every pound raised will help Leon develop the knowledge, skills and confidence to support people experiencing homelessness and hardship through The Light Group.
If you can, please sponsor Leon and help him reach his £3,000 target.
16–17 miles. £3,000 target. One goal — to help Leon become a Homeless Pastor and bring hope to people who need it most.
Thank you for supporting Leon and The Light Group. ❤️
Every step counts. Every person matters.
