On Saturday May 19th I will not be watching the Royal Wedding.. but doing a 12 mile walk to raise funds for Settle Community and Business Hub.

The CRO Challenge is a big fundraiser for our local Cave Rescue team. Walkers or runners can do a 12 or 26 mile route and either raise funds for them or pay an entry fee and raise money for other good causes which is what I am doing. More info about the CRO Challenge can be found here if you want to do it yourself.

The money raised from my walk will go towards supporting two of the hub's community projects - Settle Timebank which is a skill swap scheme and their fortnightly community lunches. Both help create connections and friendships and provide a lifeline to many local residents who have become isolated for a range of reasons.

Update - it was a very hot and sunny day on Saturday but I did complete the walk..albeit slowly! Thanks to Sarah Wiltshire for walking it with me. I will post some pictures on Facebook and twitter of the fantastic views.
