St Neots Crazy Skaters for Blue Smile 25th March 2023!
As a sports club we dream of inspiring people to achieve things that they at first didn't realise they were capable of achieving. As a family sports club this applies to children in particular. It is in that mission of inspiring children to have brighter futures that we share a common cause with the amazing Blue Smile charity.
Crazy Skateathon - Skaters will be tasked with completing a total of 2230 laps of the hall as a collective in 60 minutes. Skaters will be able to record their progress individually every 10 laps using a lap count sheet. These individual totals will then be added together at the end of the 60 minutes.2230 laps represents a lap for each child Blue Smile has supported since being founded in 2010.
Sharks Wave Cup - our players will compete for the chance to be crowned Wave Cup champions. Pups will compete in a best of three games with two teams. Each game will consist of 3 periods and each period will last 4 minutes. If it becomes 1-1 the third game will be decided by whoever is winning at the end of 4 minutes or golden goal if still tied. Tigers & Great Whites will compete in a three team round robin tournament playing 6 games each. Each team will be awarded points based on a win/draw/loss with each game lasting 4 minutes. These points will be totalled at the end once all 9 games have been played to determine the rankings. The top two teams will take part in a final. In the event of a tie a shootout will determine the winner. The session will end with a fun breakaway challenge. 4 minutes represents one second for each child of the 232 they supported through 1:1 therapy last year.
