
Given the opportunity young people can not only make change for themselves but other people in their community. We aim to raise £20,200 by walking 2020 miles & investing it in 8 individuals & 2 organisations that will be nominated throughout the year. The individuals will be offered a mentor who will support their business idea & will have be given seed funding for their idea. The organisations will be given funding & access to people successful in their field to provide inspiration & hope.
Why they need our serviceWe will be funding young people who have social action or entrepreneurial projects or organisations that support young people to become financially literate, entrepreneurial or active in their communities. Young people in the most disadvantaged communities do not have the networks that enable access to the information or support required to succeed. Investment decisions are influenced by unconscious or conscious bias and therefore black people are less likely to be able to get a start up loans.
