Apollo Music Projects brings live classical music to children who would otherwise not experience it, providing a unique opportunity for them to work closely with professional musicians, using the language of music to develop listening skills, communication and teamwork. Watch three short films about AMP, including a clip from BBC Artsnight with Armando Iannucci at www.apollomusicprojects.org. Thanks for supporting Apollo Music Projects!
Why the community needs usWe work closely with local schools, building relationships and trust, providing memorable experiences for children from all backgrounds. "We have absolutely loved working with Apollo Music Projects. The opportunities that it has created have been invaluable and they have opened the children's eyes to something totally new. I have never seen my class so engrossed by music. Thank you!" "The best thing for me was listening to the beautiful music and being inspired to play more instruments."
Our impact on the communityWe have worked closely with over 8600 children since 2004, and are reaching more children each year. The children learn to listen, develop a lasting love of music, and benefit from improved concentration and focus, which are invaluable in helping general learning. "David and the AMP orchestra deliver music at the highest standard, beautifully played and imaginatively presented and at no time talking down to the children. Lucky kids who get to experience their work!" Sir Simon Rattle, AMP Patron
