Friends of Foundry Wood

Foundry Wood is an urban community woodland in the heart of Leamington Spa and Warwick.

The Friends of Foundry Wood manage Foundry Wood community woodland to create a unique and enjoyable experience for visitors. The woodland is located on Princes Drive in Leamington Spa (opposite the tip - parking at Victoria Park Car Park). We create opportunities for local people to learn about woodland habitats, wildlife conservation, traditional woodland crafts, and broader environmental issues. The woodland is open every day and is free to visit. However, there are costs to running the woodland. Please donate or set up a direct debit if you can.

Why the community needs us
Accessing nature is good for wellbeing. It makes you feel happy and connected. Foundry Wood aims to engage all different sectors of the local population, providing access to a beautiful, wild, natural space in the heart of the town.

Our impact on the community
You can participate in a whole range of activities at Foundry Wood. Regular activities include: monthly volunteer days (last Sunday of the month 10 til 12noon); forest schools sessions; toddler activities; school and after school group visits; craft workshops; theatre and music events; monthly pizza making; and community events.
