About the appeal

"Music Can Change the World"

We know how important music is in the lives of our young people. Helping them to create music is one of the most powerful tools we can use to change someone's life.

Before the pandemic, we had bold plans to refurbish our music facilities, but were let down by a local contractor who had promised to undertake the work for free. This has left our current facilities in urgent need of refurbishment.

As such, we are launching - in partnership with Adidas and Arsenal Football Club - our new fundraising campaign - No More Red - More Music - to raise £30,000.

This will allow us to develop a new state of the art music room at the Copenhagen Youth Project, and launch a new strand of creative musical activity - Studio Next Gen.

We know that young people in our local community do not have access to space, let alone the equipment needed to develop their musical talents or to use the power of music to transform their lives.

Through the collective help of our local community, and the power of partners such as Adidas and Arsenal, we can make a transformational difference to the lives of the young people.

A new state of the art music facility will ensure we can:

Provide the positive and creative opportunities needed for young people, ensuring we can made a significant difference in tackling issues such a knife crime, youth crime and gang culture;
Develop and showcase the musical talents of young people throughout our community;
Provide vital musical opportunities for every young person we work with;
Provide a safe space for young people to express their feelings and emotions;
Help young people build connections with others; and
Develop vital and transformative life skills - making a real difference to every young person who walks through our door.The studio will also provide a vital, sustainable income stream for our charity - helping us to widen reach, develop new activities and ensure we can change the lives of young people in our community.

We can only achieve our goal by harnessing the collective power and generosity of our local community - coming together to ensure our young people have the best chance of a better life. Your support is vital to ensuring we can achieve our goal.

Every pound raised will ensure we can change the lives of young people, and thanks to Gift Aid, the value of your donation will be increased by 25% at no cost to yourself.
