About the appeal

Over the past few weeks PramDepot has been working on a strategy to support some of our community's most vulnerable people in the face of COVID-19. We are aiming to deliver 150 emergency baby boxes to mums who will have no way of providing for their new baby at this time. The boxes will include a mattress, providing a safe place for the baby to sleep as well as all essential items a baby needs for the first few of weeks from birth.

How the funding will be spent
Our aim is to provide 200 emergency baby boxes, which will be delivered over the upcoming months to women in vulnerable situations across London. Each box will cost around £75 plus delivery and storage costs. Each box will contain the following: nappies, wipes, cream, soap, maternity and breast pads, a mattress, sheets, blankets, muslins, sling and breast pump, steriliser and recycled baby clothes and equipment. Each box will be delivered directly to the mother at her place of residency.

How this will benefit the community
As uncertainty builds and self isolation and social distancing are becoming a reality, community is becoming more important than ever. We have been working hard to prepare a strategy to support some of the most vulnerable people in our community during these unsure times. Your donation will allow PramDepot to provide basic support to people who will be among the most isolated during the upcoming weeks.
