First Steps (Bath) is a Registered Charity and an accredited Social Enterprise. Our aim is to improve outcomes for young children in areas of need by working alongside their families and other professionals, through our Early Childhood Community Centres and our Specialist Early Years Centre Bath Opportunity Pre School, BOP. We provide quality, inclusive child care and services for families that enable children to enjoy education and learning in a warm and welcoming environment and support parents back into education, training and employment. BOP is a specialist setting providing Early Years Education and therapeutic services to children with additional needs from Bath and North East Somerset. Children enjoy an environment where staff work in partnership with parents and multi-discipline professionals promoting good practice in early intervention services.

We fundraise to add value to our services ensuring that we can enhance the early years experience for all children and families. First Steps services enable parents to access quality, flexible childcare that enables them to return to training and employment and provide a sustainable family income

Volunteers needed

First Steps Bath welcomes volunteers with varied experiences from different backgrounds. Volunteers are required to have a DBS check as part of our commitment to safeguard and promote the welfare of children.
