About the appeal

The Wiltshire and Swindon Coronavirus Response Fund will provide much-needed emergency support for our voluntary and community sector. At this time grassroots charities and organisations are facing unprecedented challenges and are under immense pressures as they continue to support the most vulnerable. Their income is threatened as their normal services and fundraising activities are suspended but their skills and experience are needed more than ever to meet existing and emerging needs.

How the funding will be spent
Funds raised will be distributed to local charities and organisations by our Grants Team. Priority will be given to organisations supporting individuals who are most affected by the Coronavirus outbreak, particularly those facing issues brought about by isolation or loss of income. We will also be supporting the sustainability of the voluntary sector as it is vital that organisations can recover and continue to offer their important activities once the outbreak eases.

How this will benefit the community
The Coronavirus has had a devastating impact on communities across Wiltshire and Swindon. Many have turned to local charities and community groups for help. The Wiltshire and Swindon Coronavirus Response Fund will ensure that financial support is available to enable organisations working with those most affected by the outbreak to continue to deliver their vital services at this extremely difficult time.
