BOOST is a registered charity which exists to open doors for students at The Duchess’s Community High School by supporting wellbeing, building confidence, and helping every young person believe in what’s possible. When students, teachers, local businesses and the wider community come together, opportunity grows. Together, we’re building brighter futures one student at a time.

Building Opportunities for Our Students Together

We support 1,300 young people who live across a rural area the size of Greater London. Each day, a fleet of buses brings students from distant villages and coastal communities to our school in Alnwick. These journeys, which sometimes add 2 hours at each end of the school day, can limit access to the opportunities many young people take for granted. BOOST exists to change that, connecting young people to experiences, unlocking potential and supporting possibilities, so geography, rurality and location, never defines potential.

Every penny we raise supports young people living in rural areas. We provide opportunities and experiences in school that are not available in their wider community.
