We support families with at least one child under 5 who are experiencing challenges such as: isolation/loneliness, anxiety, post-natal depression, illness, disability, money worries, family breakdown and multiple birth. Our service is preventative - we aim to build confidence and resilience - and stop family stress from becoming a family crisis. Why our community needs us.
We provide free, non-judgemental support for local families. A dedicated Home-Start volunteer will visit a family at home, weekly for 2-3 hours. Support lasts approximately six months. We also offer a Parent and Child session once a week in Tidworth and Devizes for our service users to meet each other. Our professionally trained volunteers listen without judgment and offer support, kindness, and guidance to families through a difficult period. The benefits to our community are stronger, more resilient, families. Parents are supported in giving their children the best start during those crucial early years.

Our impact on the community.
We support families in Devizes, Pewsey, Marlborough, Calne, Chippenham and Tidworth. We also work in other areas in North Wiltshire and Swindon on a case-by-case basis. During 2024-2025 we supported 220 families and 372 children.  Currently, we have around 40 volunteers, but we are always looking for more.

Small donations of £15 - £50

£15 could help sustain our Family Fund, providing essentials for struggling families, like nappies and winter coats.

£50 could help fund an outing for a supported family, providing a break from the challenges they face, and the chance to have fun!

£500 could help to train and supervise 12 new Home-Start volunteers, ready to support more families.
