West Wales - Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire | Community Support & Development
A4W uses creativity to reduce isolation, improve wellbeing and build stronger communities in West Wales.
Creating connection, confidence and community through creativity.
At Arts4Wellbeing (A4W), we believe that everyone deserves opportunities to connect, create and belong.
For over a decade, we have been working alongside people and communities across West Wales, using creativity as a powerful tool to support wellbeing, reduce isolation, build confidence and strengthen community connections.
Our activities bring people together through arts, crafts, storytelling, conversation, mindfulness and shared experiences. Whether someone joins us to learn a new skill, meet new people, improve their wellbeing, or simply enjoy a cuppa and a chat, they are welcomed into a supportive and inclusive community.
But our work is about much more than creative activities.
We help build friendships, nurture confidence, uncover talents, encourage volunteering, and support communities to become stronger and more resilient. Many of the groups we have helped establish continue long after initial funding ends, creating lasting benefits for the people involved.
From Creative Cafés and community celebrations to arts-in-health programmes, family projects and our Creative Resource Lending Library, we are committed to making creativity accessible to everyone, regardless of age, background or circumstance.
Why your support matters
Many of our projects are funded for specific activities, but the behind-the-scenes work that makes everything possible often isn’t.
Your donation helps us:
Support people experiencing loneliness and isolation.
Provide creative materials and resources.
Maintain and grow our Creative Resource Lending Library.
Support volunteers and community leaders.
Develop new community initiatives.
Reach rural communities where opportunities can be limited.
Continue creating welcoming spaces where people can connect, learn and thrive.
Our vision
We dream of communities where everyone feels valued, connected and able to contribute; where creativity is recognised not as a luxury, but as an essential part of health, wellbeing and community life.
Every donation, no matter how small, makes the vision a reality.
