First Point supports people to maintain their homes and prevent eviction in Basingstoke and Deane.
Since 2007, First Point Floating Support has been providing community based support to those who are vulnerable or face social exclusion. We aim to help people build more stable and secure lives through helping them make changes for the long term. The people we support are diverse and can have backgrounds of domestic violence, homelessness, mental ill health and substance misuse.

Our impact on the communityWe help people secure work, training, keep homes that were once jeopardised and secure more stable homes. We help people budget their finances for the longer term and find coping strategies for future difficulties. We offer drop in services for quick and instant help and a referral route for those needing more intensive support. We support over 100 people at any one time and the majority of our clients move on from our service in less than 6 months.
We always welcome interest in volunteering and the contribution you could make. We are looking for enthusiastic people to help our clients with various things including employment skills, searching for private rented homes and spending time acting as a mentor/befriender.
