Breaking Free Support Project offer 121 therapy and group counselling to women at a local and national level; providing ongoing support to
those ladies who've been affected by the numerous adverse effects of sexual assaults. We also offer a rehabilitive weekend retreat and being the
only project in the UK to offer this healing experience; we pride ourselves on the survivor led work that we do .
Why the community needs usBreaking Free has helped hundreds of vulnerable females work through the trauma of abuse. Our recovery led based work focuses on providing the survivor with specialist therapy which enables them to regain control of their lives again , surviving and thriving as a whole person.
Our impact on the communityThrough the recovery based work we provide we have seen a reduction in depression, mental health issues, reduction in drug and alcohol dependency and other addictions. A reduction in self-harm and suicide. Our service has enabled people to take back control of their lives focus on their aims and goals for the future. Increase in self-confident, self-awareness and self-worth. We have also seen an increase in employment rates and voluntary work based jobs.
