Our vision is to make Bristol proud to be a place of safety; a city that not only welcomes people seeking sanctuary, but that actively works to promote their inclusion in the local community. We work within the community to encourage local businesses and organisations to welcome and assist people seeking sanctuary. We also recognise and celebrate the contribution of people seeking sanctuary to our city.

Why the community needs us
People seeking sanctuary are a section of the community that are often overlooked, something that we as an organisation are working hard to change. We work to promote their inclusion by creating opportunities for them to participate fully in city life. We encourage others to view people seeking sanctuary in a positive light, recognising their achievements and contributions to our multi-cultural city.

Our impact on the community
In June of 2011, Bristol was officially launched as a City of Sanctuary, supported by Bristol City Council and local businesses and organisations. We have been involved in a variety of projects within the city, and are now working to ensure that Bristol's title as a City of Sanctuary is deserved.
