CancerWise is an independent cancer support charity based in Chichester, West Sussex. Established in 1984, we have over 40 years of experience supporting the health & wellbeing of individuals (adults and children) throughout West Sussex and South East Hampshire who are affected by cancer. This includes supporting individuals from diagnosis, throughout treatment, bereavement and beyond. We also provide support for their children, family members, and carers, as we recognise the detrimental affect cancer can have not just on the individual, but their families too. The objective of the charity is to provide emotional and holistic support to our beneficiaries, delivering a wide variety of both adult and child counselling, complementary therapies, gentle exercise classes, specialist support groups.

CancerWise receive no government funding and rely solely on fundraising and grants to keep our door open to continue supporting the growing number of people accessing our services.  In 2024 we have had over 200 new client referals for support following diagnosis or loss of a loved one to cancer,  together with our existing clients the support we provide has never more been needed.

CancerWise need to raise £157,000 per annum to keep these services accessible to all who need them and to continue to provide the valuable backup service to other local health services from whom we receive many referrals each week.
