Canolfan Maerdy provides a multifunction community hub, with excellent services, meeting the needs of the community as part of a collaborative effort to regenerate our once vibrant local economy. Its work is focused on the Upper Amman Valley with links and engagement into Carmarthenshire and the Upper Swansea Valley as appropriate.

280 different people each week access our services. 22 different services are provided through our centre in Tairgwaith with our partners. 140 children aged 0 - 11 years use our children's nursery (we are also a Flying Start setting), through day care, breakfast/afterschool and holiday clubs. We have 230 members of our youth group who enjoy a wide range of activitiesiand young people 'have a voice' through its youth forum.
